They’re built in a two-cross design, and offset hub flanges prevent the spokes from touching each other when they cross. With a 35mm internal diameter, they fit the wide 2.6-inch tires on this Ultra nicely, but would work with narrower or wider options, too. The tubeless Trail 40 wheels are really nice. It’s hard to argue against the benefits of infinite-travel posts, but Ritchey says the design was influenced by Thomas Frischknecht and his preferences, so some riders with more skill than I have think differently. It has three positions: fully extended, a 30mm drop, and full drop. The dropper post is a low-pressure design with 125mm of travel. There’s also Ritchey’s Trail 40 wheels and Z-Max tires. The rest of the parts are from Ritchey, including the company’s Kite dropper post. It comes with a Shimano XT drivetrain with SLX cranks and a 120mm RockShox fork. Ritchey eventually plans to offer several complete bikes.
